“Nice.” He coughed out a short laugh. Several seconds passed, and I considered making a mad dash out of the car. “We’re friends, right?”

A few lines from what I’m working on now. Stay With Me Ah, this book… it’s bringing the feels.

“Already explained that, honey, but I’ll explain something else to you. When I want something, I go for it. Life is way too damn short to live any other way. And I want to get to know you better.” Those lashes lowered one more time, his gaze tracking to my lips like they were some kind of mecca. “Yeah, I want to definitely get to know you better.”

When I wrote Because of Low I fell in love with Cage York and I had to write While It Lasts next. THE SAME THING has happened while writing Misbehaving. I have fallen in love with Krit. I realized his book would have to be next after writing this scene in Misbehaving:

“I’m not in the mood for guys,” I told him.

Krit shot up in bed and looked down at me. “Holy hell, love. Are you saying you want a woman? ’Cause I’ll pay shitloads of money to see you with another woman. Fucking cut off my left nut to watch that.”

I shoved him and grimaced, causing him to laugh. “You’re so ridiculous. Of course not. That isn’t what I mean. I just don’t want the flirting and touching and all that.” (this is a scene with Krit and Jess from Misbehaving) For those of you who don’t remember Krit he is the lead singer in the band that the Sea Breeze crew goes to see play at Live Bay. He is also Trisha’s (Rock’s wife) little brother.
