You’ve seen the headlines: Womanizing billionaire player! Watch out! Stay away!

We were just two strangers. Facing a forbidden attraction, a chemical connection. Neither of us expected or wanted it to amount to more.
But I had never been drawn to a guy the way I was drawn to this one: my brother’s best friend, and CEO of the company where I interned.
Even knowing I should stay away, I proved to be too human, after all.
The chemistry was amazing.
The laughs were incredible.
I opened up to him in more ways than I’d opened up to anyone before.
But sex was as far as I’d go.
Just sex because he was too irresistible.
Just sex because I wouldn’t be falling for him.
Just sex because I’d leave in three months, and I’d like for my brother not to kill me, and for nobody to find out he was my wicked little secret.
He wasn’t the One.
He was just a womanizer.
But for a time, he would be mine.

Womanizer might by Katy Evans’ sweetest, most adorable book yet!! I had heart eyes the whole time I was reading this book, to be quite honest. I adored the adorable, lovable heroine and the dreamy, dominating hero. They were a match made in heaven, and I had the absolute best time reading their love story. Katy Evans writes love stories in the best way, full of heart and romance. I can always count on her to deliver on a fabulous romance, and I wasn’t disappointed with Womanizer. If you’re a fan of the brother’s best friend trope, then you MUST read this book. The author writes this trope in the best way – with lots of steam, a touch of forbidden love, and crackling chemistry that will fire you up.

Olivia Roth has always had a set career path she’s laid out for herself, and a summer internship at her brother Tahoe’s best friend’s company is just the first step to accomplishing her dreams. She wants to work her way up on her own merit, without being given special treatment by the CEO. And she finds herself enjoying the internship so much – but one big reason for that might be her occasional visits on the terrace with Hot Smoker Guy. But what happens when the guy she starts crushing on turns out to be none other than the CEO and her brother’s best friend, Callan Carmichael?

I never want this moment to end.
I’m on a high I never want to come down from.
I’m flying.
So high, this is dangerous and definitely not good for me—and I still want it. I want more of it, of Callan Bad Boy Carmichael.

The main characters were a delight to read about – Olivia is a total sweetheart and I adored the way she was both confident and nervous around Callan. Callan, despite his womanizer reputation and reservations about love, won my heart with his dedication to Olivia. Before reading this, I was worried whether it would be similar to Ladies Man in terms of OW drama, but I had nothing to worry about in Womanizer, thank god! So trust me, if you’re worried about Callan’s manwhore ways, don’t be! He is alll about a certain lovely, infuriating girl 😉

I hear him inhale sharply, and the gaze I am met with when he finally meets my eyes steals my next breath.
I see pure, unrestrained lust, and a glimmer of something else. Something possessive. Something feral, something forbidden.
I feel like a switch went off in his head. I feel like his eyes hold a promise in them.

The steam in this book is just WOW. I loved it – I was utterly seduced by the chemistry and the romance. Katy Evans has such a talent at making me feel so much while reading her love stories – she always makes me believe in and root so much for the main characters. And Callan is another fantastic alpha-male hero of hers. He’s seriously perfect – not too domineering, but he has enough presence that he’ll always dominate the room (and pages). The way his devotion for Livvy grows had my heart swooning madly too – it always means so much more when the hero originally doesn’t believe in love get knocked on his heels with it.

“I once told you I didn’t know if I could love anyone deeply. I can and I do. More than I ever thought I could.”

If you’re a Katy Evans fan and you’re looking for another romance to sweep you away with its gorgeous alpha hero, then you definitely need to get your hands on Womanizer. It was seriously so much fun to read – I was probably grinning the whole way through. It’s a lovely, slightly forbidden love story that will tug at your heart strings and make you clutch at your heart, you’re so in love. I highly recommend it!!

Blog Tour + ARC Review: A Veil of Vines by Tillie Cole

Welcome to today’s stop on the tour for A Veil of Vines by Tillie Cole!

A Veil of Vines by Tillie Cole

To most people, princes, princesses, counts and dukes are found only in the pages of the most famous of fairytales. Crowns, priceless jewels and gilded thrones belong only in childhood dreams.

But for some, these frivolous fancies are truth.

For some, they are real life.

On Manhattan’s Upper East Side, people have always treated me as someone special. All because of my ancestral name and legacy. All because of a connection I share to our home country’s most important family of all.

I am Caresa Acardi, the Duchessa di Parma. A blue blood of Italy. I was born to marry well. And now the marriage date is set.

I am to marry into House Savona. The family that would have been the royals had Italy not abolished the monarchy in 1946. But to the aristocrats of my home, the abolition means nothing at all.

The Savonas still hold power where it counts most.

In our tight-knit world of money, status and masked balls, they are everything and more.

And I am soon to become one of them.

I am soon to become Prince Zeno Savona’s wife…

… or at least I was, until I met Achille.

And everything changed.

A Veil of Vines is pretty different from what Tillie Cole has released before – it’s a fairly sweet and simple romance that isn’t too dramatic or angsty. I was intrigued enough by the blurb, but wasn’t sure what to expect in the book. While there wasn’t anything that particularly wowed me, I did appreciate the simplicity of the love story. It’s predictable and a little cheesy, but if you’re a fan of the author, then you might want to pick this book up.

Since she was a child, Caresa Acardi was a promised bride of the heir of the former royal Savonas. Her family was considered royalty in Italy, which meant arranged marriages, so she must continue the tradition with Zeno Savona, despite the fact that she doesn’t know him. But when she arrives in Italy, it’s not the prince she ends up falling for, but the shy winemaker on the Savona’s land.

Achille Marchesi is a sweet, shy, humble hero, something that I’m sadly not used to in the romances I read. He was a breath of fresh air to read about, and definitely my favorite part of this book. It’s a touch of a forbidden love story between them, but it’s pretty low on drama like I said before. I could see how things would work out between Achille and Caresa but it was still enjoyable reading about how the two of them fell for each other despite the factors going against them.

Simple and romantic, A Veil of Vines isn’t quite the epic love story, but I think for those who like Tillie Cole’s way of writing and storytelling, this will be a hit. It’s not a favorite of mine from her books, but I don’t regret reading it, and I’m excited for more from her!

Audiobook Review: Sweet Rome by Tillie Cole

Sweet Rome by Tillie Cole

Sweet Rome by Tillie Cole
Series: Sweet Home #1.5 (full reading order below)
Audiobook Publication Date: October 4th 2016
Length: 12 hours
Narrated by: David Radford
Links: Audible • Ebook • Paperback • Goodreads
Source: I received an audiobook in exchange for an honest review

You met Romeo Prince in the Amazon and USA Today best-selling novel Sweet Home. Now hear the story from his lips: unbarred, uncensored, and raw to the bone.

It makes me laugh when I hear folks think Molly and I rushed into things too fast, spouting that we couldn’t possibly have felt what we did for each other in such a short space of time. I say, how the hell would they know? We made it, didn’t we? She became my whole life, didn’t she? And as for my folks not being real, being true? Tell that to me aged 10, 11, 12 – damn, all my bastard life – when I was never enough, when I was beaten until I bled for being too good at football and not being everything they’d dreamed: the perfectly dutiful son. Tell that to thousands of kids around the world getting wailed on by asshole parents for whatever stupid reason; tell them evil doesn’t exist in their eyes.

F–k Romeo and Juliet. This is the story of me and my girl, from my lips. No mushy sentiment, no cheese, just the plain, hard truth, and, because I’m feeling generous, I’m going to let you in on more of our story, too.

Sweet Rome is a new adult companion novel to Sweet Home. It contains adult content, sexual situations, and mature topics. Suited for ages 18 and up.

If you were a fan of Sweet Home and ever wondered what Rome was thinking throughout the novel, then Sweet Rome is perfect for you! I do enjoy getting the male POV in my romances, so Sweet Rome was a must listen for me. I love getting inside the hero’s head and experiencing how he falls in love with the heroine, and Tillie Cole gave me exactly that in this audiobook.

As you know from Sweet Home, the heroine, Molly Shakespeare moves from England to the University of Alabama to complete her Master’s. She’s incredibly smart, but her social skills aren’t exactly the best. She keeps to herself, until one day she can’t – Romeo Prince storms into her life and turns it upside down and for the better. The quarterback and heir to an oil fortune, Rome sweeps Molly off her feet in a whirlwind romance. He’s intense, sexy, alpha – and there is no one but Molly for him.

I really enjoyed getting to know Rome’s side of things, and I appreciated that his book wasn’t a full recap of what happened in Sweet Home. There are new scenes that we never saw in the first book, which made listening to Sweet Rome all the more enjoyable. David Radford is a new-to-me narrator, but he did a fantastic job with the Southern accents in this audiobook. I’ve listened to accents that sound cringeworthy, and thankfully his wasn’t. I would definitely listen to more of his narrations!

If you like opposites-attract romances, especially those where the popular quarterback falls for the quiet nerd, then you’ll probably enjoy Sweet Home and Sweet Rome. The two go hand-in-hand, and I’d say it’s worth it to get both stories for the different perspectives of the main characters if you enjoyed the first book. Right now, I’m excited to listen to the rest of the series in audio!

I totally adore the Maiden Lane series, even though I’ve only read the latest three and a half books (I swear I will catch up on the past books one day!). I still consider this series a historical romance favorite of mine, and with each installment I read, the more I love it. Duke of Pleasure is the eleventh and second-to-last book of the series, which makes me bittersweet because I’m not ready for it to be over! But even though I’m sad that it’s almost the end, I still highly enjoyed Alf and Hugh’s story. Elizabeth Hoyt swept me away with a romance full of passion and adventure. If you’re a fan of the series, you definitely need to get on reading this latest Maiden Lane book!

In Duke of Sin, we were given a glimpse at Hugh’s story, and we also found out the stunning revelation that Alf is actually a woman disguised as a teenage boy. So to say I was intrigued and had high expectations would be an understatement, and luckily, I wasn’t disappointed. While Alf pretends to be a teenage boy to protect herself, she is also the new Ghost of St. Giles, a being meant to protect the defenseless in her city. Alf is a fascinating character, for sure, and the more I read of her, the more I loved her and wanted to know more of her.

Hugh is a widowed father who is struggling to help his two young sons deal with the death of their mother. Hugh didn’t love his wife, but she was a good mother, and her absence has made the gap between him and his children grow even wider. He loves Kit and Peter more than anything, but underneath his stoicism, he’s hurting for his children. So when the opportunity to take his mind off the pain for just a little while comes along in the form of a street urchin named Alf, he seizes it. And when he discovers Alf’s true gender and that she’s the Ghost of St. Giles that he can’t stop thinking about, all bets are off and Hugh takes what he wants… which is the fierce, independent, mischievous Alf.

She thought like him, but she was his opposite: female to his male.
Dangerous, yet soft.
Intelligent and erotic at the same time.
His match, this urchin from St. Giles.

I loved all the characters in this book, and how each one contributed to the story. Alf and Hugh’s heartfelt romance that was full of longing had my heart aching for them. Hugh’s sons are absolute delights – at first, full of hurt over their mother, but once Alf enters the picture, they start to open up. Then there’s Hugh’s late wife’s best friend. I was a bit confused when her POV was included in the novel, but she plays somewhat of a big role in Duke of Pleasure – and she’ll play an even bigger, more important role as the heroine in the next and final book!

If you couldn’t tell, Duke of Pleasure is another fantastic installment to this wonderful series I’ve come to love so much. There’s always something so magical in the books I’ve read from Elizabeth Hoyt – I fall head over heels for the characters and the romance, while the plot puts a fun twist to everything. If you love historical romance and you haven’t experienced the Maiden Lane series, I highly recommend it! Although you should probably read in order, unlike me 😉

He laid his forehead against hers. “I do love you, hear and soul and body, Alf, my imp. I love you now and forever, and I will trust and I will hope in your dreams and hope.”
“That’s all we need, really,” she whispered.

Watched.
Stalked.
Judged.
Everyone knows us. Now, they suspect. The odds are stacked against us more than before.
We live in the shadows, hiding our love from the entire world.
But not for long.
I refuse to live like this anymore.

“You own all of me.”

Y’all, I know the step-brother romance craze is basically over, but I have been WAITING for Own for forever. It’s been a long time coming, but I’m so glad to have finally read Brayden and Kira’s finale. These two have been through so much together – if you love messy drama, this series is it for you. And the best part? You don’t have to torture yourself with the wait for the next installment! The Need series is definitely one of the better step-brother romances I’ve read, so if you love forbidden romances, I’d recommend giving this a try. It’s also insanely hot too – Brayden and Kira are ON FIRE together!

I love Brayden, I do, but I don’t know how to handle this. We aren’t dating. We aren’t even boyfriend and girlfriend.
I don’t know what we are, because loving him doesn’t mean forgiving him.

I’d been dying to read Own ever since finishing Take, and while it wasn’t quite what I expected, I still loved how things ended for Brayden and Kira. Own is basically them trying to overcome the external obstacles that try to break them apart, which I appreciated because I was pretty done with the two of them trying to break themselves apart. I loved seeing both Kira and Brayden fighting for their love and relationship – the connection they have is raw and passionate and meant to be. There is no one else for these two but each other, and though their flawed pasts may cause trouble, as long as Kira and Brayden have each other, they know they’ll be okay.

I would give up everything I have, everything I am, my very life, for her.

If Own had focused mainly on Brayden and Kira’s repairing relationship, I probably would’ve easily given this a five star rating, but there is SO much drama and trouble included in the plot, especially having to do with Brayden’s dick of a father. I wish that the drama had cut down just a little – I love angst, but it was a little overdone in this book. Other than that, I don’t have very many complaints – I did enjoy getting back into Kira and Brayden’s story and finally getting to their HEA!

If you’re looking for a good step-brother romance, the Need series is one of the top ones I’d recommend. The writing is fantastic – the transition between the two POVs is flawless, especially for two authors writing them. The steam is off the charts – Brayden’s filthy mouth is to die for. And there is some fantastic angst to pull at your emotions and make you so invested in these characters. I’m excited for more from K.I. Lynn and N. Isabelle Blanco – I’m so happy they’ll be writing more books together! I can’t wait to read Kira’s brother and his girlfriend’s story next!

Why the fuck is Kira at this party?

Stupid question.

I have no right to begrudge her this. She should be here, having fun, experiencing college to the fullest.

It just burns that she came here without telling me. That she didn’t even think of inviting me.

That she’s pushing me away while making time to sit on the grass with Austin.

If Dana hadn’t told Ryan to call me, I wouldn’t have known Kira was here.

This party is taking place in one of the student’s homes—a mansion so fucking big, it’s bordering on ridiculous.

I’m never going to find Kira here, and according to what Dana told Ryan, Kira’s shitfaced. Drunk out of her mind.

And Dana lost her.

Growling under my breath, I push past the crowd, ignoring every drunk girl who tries to grope me.

Sometimes I wonder how I ever got high off this kind of attention. How my ego fed on it. It’s annoying as fuck.

I’ve already checked the large ass kitchen. Two of the sitting rooms. The foyer. The pool room. And almost every room upstairs.

I get a text from Dana. Marilyn just spotted her going into the movie theater on the first floor. OMW there now.

Of course this place has a movie theater, too.

Fucking ridiculous, as I said.

I about-face and practically fly down the stairs. I have no idea where the hell the movie theater is, so I grab a few people as I walk and ask them.

All of them are as clueless as I am.

They look at me as if I’m crazy.

To them, I probably look like I am.

Finally, I find one person who knows. Don’t know who he is, don’t care. He points me in the right direction, and I rush away without even thanking him.

The theater is all the way in the back of the house, in an area that’s actually empty. I get there in time to see Dana opening the door and rushing in.

Man, she’s an awesome girl. I could never thank her enough for caring for Kira the way she obviously does.

I go inside and find the small theater empty, except for Dana, Marilyn . . .

And Kira.

My breath whooshes out of me at the sight of her. I’m instantly hard, aching, furious, and possessive.

We haven’t fucked in days and I’d be lying if I said my balls aren’t full to bursting. I need sex right now like I need air and she’s the only person to give it to me.

But she came here, in that tiny, dark purple dress.

I have no right to tell her how to dress–but what the fuck is she doing coming to a party dressed like that without me?

Kira’s leaning against one of the chairs all the way at the front of the theater, refusing to move despite Marilyn urging her.

It’s obvious she really is drunk as a motherfucker.

“I just want to be alone, guys,” she says, almost whining.

I refuse to be amused. Now’s not the time. I’m too pissed at her.

But, fuck me. She’s sexy, adorable, and those lips are begging for my cock.

“I know, sweetie. But it’s not good for you to be alone right now.”

Kira swats Marilyn away. “Stop your shit, woman. You’re not my mother.”

Even Dana laughs at that one.

“She’s not. But I’m your man. And I say you’re not going to be alone.”

They all turn to stare at me as I walk down the short steps toward them.

Kira’s eyes flare with resentment.

With lust.

She rakes me with a cold stare that still manages to burn my entire body with how hungry it is.

Damn. If any of these girls just happen to look down a bit, they’re going to get an eyeful of how hard my dick is.

“I don’t want you here, either.” She swats me away like an imperious little queen.

“Girls. Leave us.”

Marilyn and Dana hesitate at my tone.

I don’t have time for this shit. “Now.”

Dana snaps to action first and leads Marilyn up the stairs and out of the theater.

Kira’s still looking at me with that rebellious hunger, a lust-filled sneer on her face.

I have no qualms about reaching down and palming my dick in front of her.

Her eyes flare hungrily.

“We’re leaving, Kitty. Now.” I can’t fuck her until she sobers up considering how angry at me she is, but I’m getting her home.

Kira steps toward me and stumbles at bit.

I rush forward and catch her, pulling her up against me.

Contact. Seering, torturous contact. I have my arms wrapped around her, my hands on her ass, before I realize what I’m doing. As always, it’s an instant reaction. Absolutely zero control over my own body.

Kira pushes at my chest and that sexy small growl she gives me turns me on so much. “Don’t touch me.”

My barely leashed temper snaps free. “Like hell. You’re mine.”

She struggles against me, her body sliding along mine. “Excuse me if I don’t want to go back to fucking the dick I’ve seen inside Jennifer two too many times.”

She’s hurting. I get it. Shit, I’d be even more feral in her shoes.

But I’ll be damned if I let her pretend she doesn’t want me anymore.

Fisting her hair, I slide my other hand under her dress and roughly shove her panties to side.

Kira lets out a broken gasp at the feel of my fingers slipping inside her.

I move them around on purpose so she can hear how wet she is. “Lie to me again. Tell me you don’t want me,” I growl in her face.

Her arms wind around my neck and she slams her lips against mine. Growling at me like she  hates me and wants to eat me at the same time, she kisses me with everything she has.

Owning me.

Trying to control me.

I want nothing more than to show her who’s fucking in charge here, but she’s licking my tongue like it’s the tip of my dick, and her hips are thrusting up and down, fucking my fingers.

Using me for her pleasure.

Her body locks up, her plump pussy swelling around my fingers. A throb, a rush of liquid, and she’s squirting into my hand, her sexy moans echoing between our lips.

God damn.

I manhandle her, my mind cracking under the pressure of so much need. Spinning, I fall to my knees on the short steps and place her beneath me.

The steps are short but they’re huge. Enough to accommodate her lower body on one.

Kira leans back with her elbows on the step above her. Head thrown back, gorgeous throat exposed, she struggles to pull in air.

I lean back on my haunches and yank my belt open.

The sound makes her raise her head. By the time her eyes are on my crotch, I already have my glistening cock out in my hand.

She whispers my name like a prayer.

Finally.

This is what I need. No more distance. No more pain. Just her and her nearly demonic need to have me.

And I need this even more.

I grab her thighs and tug her toward me. Kira says my name again. Her hands land on my shoulders, fisting my shirt.

I spread her legs wide, wider than I probably should, and slide that juicy cunt right onto my dick.

Her body arches off the stairs like she’s being possessed.

She is.

If I haven’t left enough of me inside her for her to understand—for her to accept—that I own her and always will . . .

I’m going to remedy that.

And there’s nothing she can do about it.

I pull my hips back, slow, hissing at the slick feel of her pussy walls tightening. Trying to keep me in.

Kira whimpers, clenching me even harder.

Wanting to let me go and powerless to do anything but keep me.

Using all my strength, I slam back into her.

One hard, vicious thrust.

She cries out and comes all over me.

Again.

Just like that.

I crack my neck, a growl purring through my chest, and lay into her. No mercy. No thought.

I’m close. Just a few more pumps into that slick cunt.

Kira fists my hair, her moans bouncing off the walls around us. I lower myself down and brace my elbows on either side of her head.

She tries to tug me down and kiss me.

I slide one hand beneath her head, fisting that beautiful hair, and drag her up to me. “Who told you that you could come here dressed like that?”

She bites my lip hard enough to make my vision snap white. I think I taste blood. “Fuck you. You don’t own m—” She chokes on her words with my next thrust.

I can’t stop groaning, yet somehow I’m laughing in her face at the ridiculousness of her statement. “You want to keep fucking lying to yourself, Kitty?”

She hisses like the wild cat she is and leans up to lick across my bottom lip. When she pulls back, I see it.

Her lips are stained with the blood she drew from me.

I press my lips to her, our tongues dueling. We’re nothing but a mindless mass of sex, and I can feel the come rising up my shaft.

In the back of my head, it registers that I hear people speaking.

Drawing closer.

On the other side of the door.

“That bitch ruined my life!”

“First off, don’t ever call her a bitch in front of me. Got it? Secondly, you have no proof it was her that sent your parents that video. Third, back the fuck off, or I’m going to forget we were ever—”

The door opens.

I raise my head enough to look up. For a split second, the fact that we’ve been caught freezes me.

Then I see two pairs of familiar blue eyes locked on us.

Jennifer.

Austin.

about the author button

K.I. Lynn is the USA Today Bestselling Author from The Bend Anthology and the Amazon Bestselling Series, Breach. She spent her life in the arts, everything from music to painting and ceramics, then to writing. Characters have always run around in her head, acting out their stories, but it wasn’t until later in life she would put them to pen. It would turn out to be the one thing she was really passionate about.

Since she began posting stories online, she’s garnered acclaim for her diverse stories and hard hitting writing style. Two stories and characters are never the same, her brain moving through different ideas faster than she can write them down as it also plots its quest for world domination…or cheese. Whichever is easier to obtain… Usually it’s cheese.
